Coleman mach ac fan problem barry holman 9-16-08
My A/C started acting up on my last trip. The compressor is tripping the shore power breaker after the fan stops running / slows significantly. The fan runs full speed sometimes but other times it runs at a slower speed (slower than the programmed slow). I replaced the fan motor capacitor but no change in symptoms. I also verified the output of the circuit board with the thermostat output and all seemed Ok. Also, there have been times when I had to push start the fan even after having replaced the capacitor. I am starting to think the problem is with the fan motor. Am I thinking correctly? Is there any way I can test the motor with a multimeter? Or should I just go ahead and replace the motor?
