My 4wd will ocasionally engage the transfer into 4-low but wont gear the frot wheels in and most of the time wont eve engage the transfer is there a stick replacement for this to make it manual 4wd?

The front wheels lock using a vacuum solinoid. The easiest way to change this would be to opt for an "Air lock" front carrier and then remove all the vacuum parts from the front axle.

There is no way to convert the electronic transfer case to a manual one. There are a number of aftermarket transfer cases available that you can use. Ford uses the "NP" or "New Process" transfer cases, so you could also try scouring you local used parts emporium to find a replacement.

Hope that helps!
