You need to check to see if you are getting power to the injector/injectors on the throttle body, a 12 volt test light can be used for this, turn the key to run and probe both wires going to the injector, one should be "hot", the other is the injector ground wire that goes to the computer, the computer turns the injector on and off by making and breaking the ground connection. When you find the hot injector wire, then you'll know the other is the ground. Next find out if the computer is firing the injector by connecting the alligator clip on the test light to the battey + post and stick the pointed probe into the injector ground wire and crank the engine, the light should flash on and off. You can also buy a LED tester that plugs into the injector wire connector to test with. If you find you have no power to the injector, but the computer is making the ground OK, then you can run a jumper wire from the battery + to the injector hot wire, and the injector should operate. |
