I know of a 1984 Winnebago Elandan for sale that I'm considering buying. It's defiantly a fixer upper.
One of the problems is that it was/is leaking around the front a/c unit. From doing a search here I see that it could be the a/c to roof seal or just the roof leaking.
My big question is how is the body of this RV constructed? From the pictures it appears that the body is fiberglass, but what of the roof? Any wooden supports up there that I might have to replace if rotten? Is the roof plywood with a rubber sheet or plywood covered in fiberglass?
I won't have time to go look at it till this weekend, just wanted to get a head start on what might be involved with the roof repairs. |
