86 winnebago fuel selector valve adam 8-26-08
I have a 86 winnebago with a bad fuel selector. It is putting fuel through the main line even when you select the aux tank. The solonoid is getting warm when you put it on aux tank, but it does not switch. I tried tapping it and hammering it. Nothing.. Does anyone know where you can get a replacement for this. It says POLLAK on it, but im not having anyluck finding it. Thanks

Have someone flip the tank selector switch back and forth while you listen and feel for the solenoid to click. If it doesn't click, replace it. The solenoid always passes fuel from the main tank, except when it is activated, then the internal armature valve moves to close the port from the main tank and indexes with the aux tank port. A replacement valve ahould be available from a NAPA store.
