My furnice will not stop running once it reahces the right temp. As soon as it almost comes to a complete stop, the fan kicks back in and keeps doing this over and over untill the reset switch blows and has to be reset. Does anyone know what may be wrong.
I am not a mechanic a but I would start with suspecting the thermostat- all that the thermostat usually does is "tell it" when the temp is where it should be and then it opens the circuit to make it turn off.
