I have a 1979 Lazy Daze (and I'm new to all this!) which is plugged into house electricity (for now) and off and on all day and night whenever I run anything in the rv, it blows something (either in the house or the rv) and everything in the back of the rv stops working...the rv still runs and the front of the rv lights, etc. still work. I'm using a regular heavy duty extension cord to a 110 voltage home. Please, help me, I'm stuck here until I figure this out! Thanks alot!
As Sam said, it sounds like you are overloading the circuit that you are plugging the RV into. The lights that remain working when the circuit trips are, possibly, 12 VDC lights running off your battery.
You will need to reduce the load in the RV or connect the RV to a better source of power which, on your '79 RV is probably a standard RV type 30 amp 120 volt outlet.
